Making Good Things Happen

There is so much to be positive about! I've always been a positive individual (Voted Most Optimistic - Class of '85 Hazen High), but the realities of today's world have caused me to spend many moments contemplating the negatives in the world... war, corruption, greed, dishonesty, etc.

Despite the many things in the world to dwell on, I decided to create this blog to focus on the positive, and the many wonderful things in my life. No longer respecting and rarely paying attention to the mainstream media, with its endless distractions and half-truths it peddles, I began to realize that we the people are the next generation of media. Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and the like, are of no importance to me and my family... real people with real issues are what we want to hear and learn about... our family, our friends, our community... and with the advanced technology tools available, the average citizen can create, report, and disseminate their own style of news and information that makes sense to them.

I truly feel fortunate and blessed to be experiencing such an incredible life and wonderful journey... and I plan to make the main focus of this blog all the good things taking place in this world... mostly with a local twist and flavor. If you feel inspired, I invite you to forward a good thing that could be added to this blog, or start your own blog and forward me a link. The wired world is an incredible way to network with like minded people, which I hope is another benefit of this website.

Thus, please join me in this journey through the positive aspects of the world, despite the many unsettling events that can seem to dominate our lives... By focusing on what's real, what's local, and who's making good things happen, the world will be a better place.

Peace... and Goodness,

Dennis Lapchis
